From Control Loops to Software
Oded Maler

Citation
Oded Maler. "From Control Loops to Software". Talk or presentation, 21, August, 2008.

Abstract
In this talk I explain the basic steps involved in transforming a controller, defined as a mathematical object, into a real-time program that realizes it. I also survey the evolution of control technology from physical "computation" of the feedback function, via analog computing to sampled-data digital control.
