User interface modelling - Model-based UI design

Abstract
User interface modelling is an established cross-disciplinary field, combining elements from Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Software Engineering (SE), Information Systems (IS). This talk will present a conceptual overview of the field based on a classification framework developed in my thesis. Important work will be discussed in the context of this framework. Some time will be devoted to my own dialog modelling language Diamodl, since it is (coincidentally) based on an actor model similar to Ptolemy's (which is why I'm here), and how I believe it can be combined in the context of internet-based systems.
